The Model OT21 Optical Transmissometer bench top analyzer is a simple and robust instrument which measures the Black Carbon content of an aerosol sample collected on a filter, either from ambient air or from source emissions.

• Dual-wavelength optical analysis at 880 nm (Black Carbon) and 370 nm (UVPM) for aromatic organic compounds
• Highly specific to Black Carbon — no other aerosol species absorbs even 0.001 times as much in the visible range
• Non-destructive analysis allows subsequent laboratory testing of the same filter
• Accommodates 25 mm, 37 mm, and 47 mm diameter quartz fiber, T60 Teflon-coated glass fiber, or Teflon membrane filters
• Portable chassis design with 2-line display and keypad interface
• Digital data output via rear RS-232 (COM) and USB ports, with optional NIST-traceable neutral density filter validation kit
